Job
Description – Planner
The position is responsible for performing tasks
in the following areas: Project
Oversight and Management and Public Information Services. Work mainly involves the gathering
and interpretation of date dealing with service and construction
issues. The position reports
directly to the General Manager.
Develop and draft plans for new and modified
transit services. Prepare various
written communication including short and long range plans. Prepare maps, graphs, charts and
other visual aids to illustrate planning studies. Evaluate alternatives; develop
findings, and present recommendations for management approval.
Duties may include defining project scope and
developing plans and schedules from inception to implementation. Coordinate, monitor, and review
progress of project tasks and activities. Prepare and present project reports.
Common word processing skills, spreadsheet
software, GIS, database applications, and project management software a
must.
