Conway (SC) – Coast RTA announced Wednesday that it will resume limited fixed route and paratransit services on Thursday, September 20 in the coastal portions of its service area.
Coast RTA will be operating routes 7, 10, 15 North, 15 South and 16 with limited trips on 7X and 16X. Service in the rural part of the service area on Route 1, 2, 3 and 16(X) will be suspended until further notice.
Coast RTA will be monitoring road closures, which are expected to increase in number and severity, and adjust routes as necessary. Passengers should expect delays and are encouraged to use the Coast RTA Ride Tracker App, Coast RTA website (www.ridecoastrta.com) or call customer service (843-488-0865) for the latest in service changes. Coast RTA’s Facebook page will continue to post updates and developments as they happen.
“While Coast RTA continues to assist the County with evacuations related to river flooding, we felt it was important to assist in recovery by doing what we can to connect people to jobs. Coast RTA encourages everyone to keep an eye on changing conditions especially those impacted by river flooding,” said Brian Piascik, Coast RTA General Manager.
Should service updates occur, Coast RTA will send out notices regarding its service through local media channels; its APP; website and social media platforms.

Coast RTA fixed routes are $1.50 per ride for adults; $1.25 students with ID; $.75 per ride for senior citizens/disabled citizens and FREE for children, ages 6 and younger (limit 3 with paid adult).
