Coast RTA’s Citizens Advisory Committee will host a series of meetings to get public input on the transportation needs of the community.

The CAC consists of a group of volunteers who represent various communities within Horry and Georgetown counties. Their mission is to have a proactive role in the development, promotion and implementation of programs to improve mass public transportation. They assist Coast RTA in gathering information to make informed decisions about matters such as fare changes, short and long range planning, improvements and expansion projects and establishing routes.

Meetings are held each month and plans to address transportation challenges throughout the Grand Strand are underway.

The next forum will be held on:  Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at 6pm. at HTC River Oaks 3900 River Oaks Dr. in the community room, rear of the building (following the Carolina Forest Civic Association meeting).
