Coast RTA Announces Router Modifications For This Week’s Country Music Festival

Coast RTA will operate modified routing for several of its fixed routes during the Country Music Fest and until traffic patterns return to normal. Routes affected include Coast RTA Routes 15 North, 15 South, 16, 16 Express and the Entertainment Shuttle. Service will be modified beginning Wednesday, June 6 through Tuesday, June 12 with normal route service resuming on Wednesday, June 13.  

Beginning, June 7,Route 15 North will operate on a modified route using Oak Street to 21st Avenue North inbound and outbound from the Transfer Station due to street closures and the 2018 Carolina Country Music Fest at the Old Pavilion site. There will be NO service on Kings Highway from Mr. Joe White Avenue through 21st Avenue North. Coast RTA’s normal route service on these routes will resume on Wednesday, June 13. 

Beginning, June 7, Route 15 South will operate on a modified route using 3rd Avenue South & Oak Street to the Transfer Center and use the same route for outbound trips due to traffic restrictions for the 2018 Carolina Country Music Fest at the Old Pavilion site. There will be NO service along Kings Highway from 3rd Avenue South to Oak Street. Coast RTA’s normal route service on these routes will resume on Wednesday, June 13. 

Beginning June 6, Route 16 Express (PM Commute) will operate on a modified route using Ocean Blvd to 21st Avenue North to Kings Hwy to 3rd Avenue South. Then, will continue along Ocean Blvd and resume its route. 

Beginning June 7,Route 16 (6 AM ONLY) will operate using Ocean Blvd to 3rd Avenue South to Kings Highway through 29th Avenue North and then return to Ocean Boulevard. 

For additional trips, Route 16will leave the Transfer Center via Oak Street to 3rd Avenue South and resume its route. It will continue that route modification with the exception of the AM Commute. 

Due to traffic restrictions, there will be NO service on Kings Highway from 3rd Avenue South to the Transfer Center. Coast RTA’s normal route service on these routes will resume on Wednesday, June 13. 

Coast RTA’s Entertainment Shuttle will be affected as well. Shuttle stops from 8th Avenue North through 21st Avenue North will access Kings Hwy/US 17 due to road closures for 2018 Carolina Country Music Fest at the old Pavilion site. The Entertainment Shuttle will operate a modified route on Ocean Boulevard turning left onto 7th Avenue North to Kings Highway, continuing on Kings Highway until 21st Avenue North, turning right onto 21st Avenue North and then resuming the route on Ocean Boulevard. Coast RTA’s normal route service on this route will resume on Wednesday, June 13.
