Conway (SC) – With improved road conditions and receding flood waters, Coast RTA announced Friday that it would resume normal fixed route and paratransit services on Sunday, September 30. For the past week, Coast RTA had been operating limited fixed route and paratransit services due to road conditions/closures and anticipated flooding. The Authority plans to resume its fixed route service on the following routes: Route 7, 7X, 10, 15 North, 15 South, 16 and 16X. Conditions in Conway, Loris and Bucksport are still not conducive to operating Routes 1, 2 and 3 at this time.

“Our operations team has stayed in communication with both Horry County and Georgetown County Emergency Management Departments. We have continuously monitored the road conditions and flooding throughout our service area since Hurricane Florence. We were very pleased with today’s drive to see that road conditions had improved enough to resume service in most of our system area,” said Coast RTA General Manager Brian Piascik.
