Coast RTA will hold travel training workshops to aid the general public in using its new routes in the Loris and Bucksport communities. Scheduled over the next couple of weeks, the workshops will assist residents in the transition of using the new bus service in their communities.

“These travel training workshops will provide residents an opportunity to learn how to use our service to connect to employment, training and educational opportunities along our routes. We begin with the basics and teach them how to read schedules, understand Inbound vs Outbound and importance of connecting routes,” stated General Manager Brian Piascik. “We were pleased with the turnout at our public meetings last month and look forward to helping residents take advantage of opportunities that are merely a bus ride away from their communities. Our route expansion to the greater Loris and Bucksport communities was made possible through a grant with the SC Works office and will begin August 14.”
