Coast RTA will begin holding public meetings throughout its service area this month. These meetings will take place through first quarter of 2020 and include discussions in Georgetown, North Myrtle Beach and Socastee. Coast RTA’s public meetings provide an opportunity for Coast RTA staff to obtain input from the public regarding service needs in their areas.
“Coast RTA is poised to begin conversations with our unserved and/or underserved communities about the expansion of public transportation,” stated General Manager Brian Piascik. “While this expansion will not happen overnight, we want to start the conversations through community meetings, social media discussions and other interactions with our passengers. Over the next six to nine months, we’ll host a series of these meetings throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties asking residents to attend and to share their thoughts on the need for public transportation in their communities.”
